Massachusetts Women's Track And Field Complete Split At Raleigh Relays And Black And Gold Invitational

AMHERST, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team had a handful of athletes compete at both the Black and Gold Invitational and the Raleigh Relays on Friday. The Minutewomen will compete in both the meets again on Saturday while sending athletes to the UConn Dog Fight.
Highlights from the Black and Gold Invitational:
- The Minutewomen had three athletes place in the top eight during the javelin throw. Junior Anna Cozzolino won the event with her toss of 136' 5". Behind her was Aaliyah Alleyne and Sara Folan who came in seventh and eighth respectively.
- Freshman Madelyn Bishop placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 42' 2.75" while teammate Tess Rancourt came in eighth with a mark of 38' 3.25".
Highlights from the Raleigh Relays:
- Alex Costantino completed the 1500m in a time of 4:38.99.
- Rebecca Hartman came finished in 34th with a time of 34:58.41in the 10,000 meter. The time is good for second all-time at Umass.
