Massachusetts Women's Track & Field Wrap Up First Outdoor Meet Of The Season

ORLANDO, Fla.- The University of Massachusetts women's track & field team closed out their first meet of the outdoor season by completing the UCF Knights Invite on Saturday. They were led by Courtney Rowland who placed seventh in the high jump.
Highlights from competition:
- Courtney Rowland finished in a tie for seventh during the high jump with a jump of 5' 4.25".
- In the triple jump, Tiarra Deveaux and Ruth Michel finished 21st and 22nd respectively with marks of 37' 1.25" and 36' 7".
- Katelyn Gorgenyi was the top Minutewomen in the 100m hurdles, placing 14th with a time of 14.61.
- Sadai Headley-Mawasi's 400m time of 57.06 placed her in 20th out of 61 runners.
- The 4x100 team consisting of Gorgenyi, Jordan Lafave, Alysia Spencer, and Headley-Mawasi finished in a time of 49.27.
The Minutewomen will be back in action next weekend as they head to North Carolina to take on the Raleigh Relays at NC State.
