AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts junior defenseman Ryan Ufko, freshman goaltender Michael Hrabal and junior defenseman Scott Morrow have earned spots on the Hockey East All-Star Teams, the league announced on Friday. It marks the third career honors for Ufko and Morrow and Hrabal becomes the first Minuteman netminder to be named an All-Star as a rookie.

Ufko, who was an honorable mention All-Star as a freshman and a second-team honoree as a sophomore, was previously honored as UMass' first winner of Hockey East's Winner Of Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award.  The team co-captain, Hobey Baker candidate and Walter Brown Award semifinalist, has seen action in all 34 games this season, recording 25 points on nine goals and 16 assists, including six power-play markers and five game winners. A native of Smithtown, New York, Ufko is +5 with 49 blocks and has helped UMass to a 19-12-3 record and a top-20 ranking thus far this year. He was named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Nov. 20 after playing a pivotal role in the Minutemen's sweep of then No. 5-ranked Providence and Hockey East Player of the Week after a four-point weekend against UMass Lowell, which included two OT game winners. In league action this season, Ufko posted 12 points on six goals and six assists over 24 games with four power-play goals and four game winners.

Hrabal joins former Minutemen Matt Murray, Filip Lindberg and Jonathan Quick as the fourth netminder in program history to be named a league all-star. The Prague, Czechia native has logged 30+ saves on nine occasions this year, including a career-best 40 at Boston College on Feb. 18. In Hockey East action, Hrabal played in 22 games for a total of 1,278 minutes and put up a 2.49 GAA and a .917 save percentage with 587 stops and a 11-10-1 record.

Morrow, a first team all-star as a freshman and a second-team all-star as a sophomore, is currently tied for first for the Minutemen in scoring with 29 points on six goals and a team-best 23 assists, including three power-play goals.
