Men’s Cross Country Posts Best NCAA Regionals Finish Since 2008

HOPKINTON, N.H. – University of Massachusetts men's cross country closed out its 2024 season with its best finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships since 2008 as the squad took seventh out of 39 schools with a score of 229. Graduate student Bobby Carew became the first Minuteman to earn All-Region recognition since Michael Famiglietti in 2018, placing in the top-25 overall.

THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- Carew completed the 10K in 30:21.88 for 17th overall to lead UMass.
- Graduate student John Lucey was second for the Minutemen and 31st overall with a time of 30:46.89.
- Michael Norberg followed close behind as UMass' third scorer in 33rd, clocking in at 30:49.34.
- Collin Catherwood was 68th in the field of 256 competitors as the No. 4 Minuteman to cross the finish at 31:24.62.
- Liam Ouellette rounded out the UMass top-five in 80th overall (31:35.05).
