Fairhurst Leads Women’s Cross Country To Third At ECAC Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – University of Massachusetts women's cross country took third at the ECAC Championships on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park, posting a score of 109 to finish behind only Yale (53) and Bucknell (103) in the 20-team field.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- UMass will return to action on Friday, October 25, at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Connecticut. Race time is set for 3 p.m.

- Eugenia Fairhurst was the top finisher for the Minutewomen in third overall with a time of 21:10.0 out of 258 competitors.
- Sydney Adams also secured a top-15 placement, taking second for UMass and 14th overall in the 6K in 21:24.6.
- Rylee Shunney was next to cross for the Minutewomen, placing third on the squad and 21st overall (21:41.8).
- Lara Mannes Diaz De Cerio clocked in at 21:46.4 to take fourth for UMass and 28th overall.
- The Minutewomen's No. 5 runner, Rylee Davis, placed 56th overall (22:26.3).
