Men’s Cross Country Lands Ninth At Princeton Fall Classic

PRINCETON, N.J. – University of Massachusetts men's cross country posted a score of 246 to land eighth of 22 teams at the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, New Jersey on Friday. Finishing ahead of the Minutemen were Villanova (70), Georgetown (87), Princeton (92), North Carolina (106), Colorado St. (138), Cornell (183), Penn (221) and Penn State (222) in the talented field.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- Robert Carew was the top finisher for UMass in 26th overall, completing the 8K in 23 minutes, 27.7 seconds.
- Second across for the Minutemen in 48th overall was John Lucey with a time of 23:50.1.
- Michael Norberg was 54th overall as UMass' No. 3 runner with a time of 23:55.3.
- Will Kenney followed in fourth for the Minutemen and 62nd overall in the field of 234 runners (24:00.8).
- Collin Catherwood completed the UMass scoring in 66th overall (24:03.5).

- UMass will return to action on Friday, October 25, at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Connecticut. Race time is set for 4 p.m.
