UMass Women's Cross Country Claims 25th At Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – University of Massachusetts women's cross country was back in action on Saturday morning, competing in the Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University. The Minutewomen placed 25th out of 44 teams in the Women's College Gold 6K with a score of 652. Utah Valley took the top spot with a score of 77.

The Minutewomen will be idle next weekend and will return to action at the ECAC Championships in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, New York on Friday, Oct. 13.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- Eugenia Fairhurst was the top finisher for the Minutewomen, taking 57th with a time of 21:24.5 in a field of 402 runners.
- Rebecca Hartman followed in second for UMass, placing 73rd overall in 21:32.1.
- Lara Mannes Diaz De Cerio scored for the second time in as many meets as the freshman was third for the Minutewomen and 155th overall in 22:10.3.
- Annika Zuschlag took the No. 4 spot for UMass in 177th overall (22:25.2).
- Rylee Shunney finished in the scoring for the first time in her career, placing fifth for the Minutewomen and 211th overall (22:35.2).
