Massachusetts Cross Country Reveals 2023 Schedules

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts cross country has announced its 2023 schedule, which will open on Saturday, September 2, with the annual the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational at the UMass Cross Country Course.
The following Saturday, the Minutemen and Minutewomen will travel to Bryant for the Nassaney Invitational for the first time, located in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
After two weeks of rest and training, the squads will be off to the historic Paul Short Run on Saturday, September 30. The event is held annually on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
While the women are idle, the UMass men will be in action at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston on Saturday, October 7. The Minutemen will be seeking to defend their 2022 team title, in search of their seventh New England crown overall.
Both squads will head to the Bronx, New York on Friday, October 13, for the ECAC and IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park, a preview of the NCAA Northeast Regional site.
The following week, members of both teams will race at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, October 20 in New Britain, Connecticut.
The 2023 Atlantic 10 Championships are slated for Saturday, October 28, in Dayton, Ohio. Two weeks later, UMass will make its second trip to Van Cortlandt Park of the season for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, November 10.
