Rowing Prepares for Eastern Sprints
April 27, 2023 | Rowing, Women's Crew
AMHERST, MA - University of Massachusetts Rowing will be close to home this Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts as the UMass boats will compete at Eastern Sprints against 17 other crews.Â
The competition will consist of morning races followed by finals in the afternoon. The top six finalists of each event will move onto the Grand Finals. The remaining crews will move on to the petite or third level finals.Â
"After returning from our Dartmouth race this past weekend, we made some adjustments and are excited to get back out there in Worcester to test our speed," said Head Coach Eric Carcich. "This weekend is a great opportunity to see our speed against teams from the Ivy League, Big Ten, A-10, Patriot and the Colonial Conference. Eastern Sprints will also be our final tune up before we compete in the A-10 Championships on May 12th. We're looking forward to seeing this group race hard this weekend!"
