AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team concludes its two-game road trip on Sunday afternoon at Maine. The Minutewomen and Black Bears tip off at 1 p.m. in The Pit at Memorial Gymnasium on ESPN+.
Series History
Sunday's game marks the 25th all-time meeting between the Minutewomen and the Black Bears with Maine leading the series 14-10. UMass picked up a 67-54 win in last season's meeting in the Mullins Center to improve to 9-4 all-time at home against Maine. The Black Bears, meanwhile, hold a 7-1 record in the series on their home court. The first meeting between the two teams was held during the 1970-71 season.
Last Time Out
Bre Bellamy led four Minutewomen in double figures with 15 points as UMass fell on the road at Northeastern on Thursday night 78-74. Kristin Williams chipped in 13 points off the bench while knocking down three triples as UMass began the night 7-of-12 from range. The Minutewomen held a 34-28 advantage on the glass, led by 11 rebounds from Stefanie Kulesza, all while allowing just four Northeastern offensive rebounds.
Hitting The Glass
Junior forward Stefanie Kulesza has reached double figures in the rebound category in both games, finishing with 14 rebounds in the season opener to complete her first career double-double before halling in 11 more at Northeastern. Kulesza ranks fifth among Division I leaders in total rebounds and leads the A-10 in the category.

The Minutewomen are averaging six made 3-pointers per game led by three per contest from Kristin Williams. Williams ranks among the top-25 in DI in made 3-pointers and is second in the A-10. Additionally, all eight Minutewomen that have appeared in games this season have knocked down at least one shot from behind the arc with the team shooting 31-percent collectively.
Securing The Rock
Graduate guard Tori Hyduke ranks 19th nationally in assist to turnover ratio on the year at 6.00. Hyduke committed zero turnovers in the season opener and finished with a season-best four assists on Thursday.
Pouring It In
Kristin Williams set a new career-high in scoring with 19 points in the win over Saint Peter's. Williams knocked down three 3-pointers in 32 minutes off the bench and recorded 12 of her 19 points in the second half.
Team Captains
Graduate students Tori Hyduke and Bre Bellamy were named the 2023-24 team captains earlier in the week. Hyduke spent the last three years at Drexel after a freshman season at George Washington and has appeared in 97 collegiate games. Bellamy played four seasons at William & Mary, starting in 86 games with 100 appearances.
Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen return home to the Mullins Center on Thursday, Nov. 16 for a 6 p.m. tip-off against in-state opponent Harvard. UMass then plays its next six games away from home, heading to Monmouth on Nov. 19 before three games in three days at the Cancun Challenge from Nov. 23-25.
