Men's Soccer Seeded Seventh In Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – University of Massachusetts men's soccer earned the No. 7-seed heading into the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championships, as announced by the league on Saturday evening. The Minutemen finished the regular season with a 7-5-5 overall record and a 4-3-1 record in Atlantic 10 play.
UMass will travel to Saint Louis to face the No. 2-seeded Billikens at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, November 3 in the quarterfinals. This will mark the 18th time UMass will play in the Atlantic 10 tournament and they are 12-15 all-time in the tournament.
The A-10 Tournament will be an eight-team, single-elimination tournament with on-campus quarterfinal and semifinal action and will conclude with the Championship Final on Sunday, November 12. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Following the conclusion of quarterfinals, pairings will be re-seeded heading into the Nov. 8 semifinals, which the two highest remaining seeds will host. The winner of the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship will be determined with the A-10 Championship Final at the highest seed's home site at noon on Nov. 12. The winner of the that game will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
VCU secured the top spot, followed by Saint Louis, No. 3-seed Loyola Chicago and No. 4-seed Davidson who will serve as hosts. Duquesne and Dayton sit ahead of UMass as the No.5 and No.6 seed, respectively, while Fordham comes in as the No. 8 seed.
