Massachusetts Women's Cross Country Team Takes Fifth At Atlantic 10 Championships

Eugenia Fairhurst led all UMass runners for the fourth consecutive meet
DAYTON, Ohio- The University of Massachusetts women's cross country team placed fifth at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday morning. UMass finished with a team score of 145 while Loyola Chicago won the meet for the second consecutive year with a score of 65. Junior Eugenia Fairhurst paced the Minutewomen as she finished 12th with a time of 21:35.1 to earn All-Conference honors.

The Minutewomen will take on the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on November 10th. The meet will be held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, a familiar location for UMass as they competed there earlier this month for the ECAC Championships.
UMASS TOP FIVE
- Rebecca Hartman was the second scorer for UMass. The senior ran a 21:49.1 6K to claim 18th.
- Annika Zuschlag ran a personal best time of 22:10.9 and finished 30th overall.
- Freshman Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio (22:23.3) was the third Minutewomen to cross the finish line, coming in 38th.
- Rounding out the scoring was freshman Rylee Shunney who finished 47th with a time of 22:37.1.

- Anna Todd (51st, 22:42.1), Rylee Davis (72nd, 23.02.6), Rebekah James (84th, 23:17.0), Elise O'Leary (113th, 23:53.0), and Simone Harrison (132nd,24:39.9).
