Women’s Cross Country Team Places Ninth At ECAC Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – The University of Massachusetts women's cross country team placed ninth out of 36 teams at the ECAC Championships on Friday. The Minutewomen finished with a total score of 261 while Northeastern finished in first with 55. Junior Eugenia Fairhurst paced the Minutewomen for the second meet in a row, placing 21st in the 288 runner field with a time of 21 minutes, 30.0 seconds.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE

Rebecca Hartman was the second Minutewomen in back-to-back weeks, finished 30th overall (21:46.3).

Annika Zuschlag ran her best 8K, coming in 68th with a time of 22:18.8.

Coming in right behind Zuschlag in 69th (22:19.7) was Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio.

Freshman Rylee Shunney rounded out the UMass scoring, finishing in 85th with a personal best time of 22:33.1.
