Massachusetts Tennis Opens Up Its Fall Slate At The Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – University of Massachusetts tennis kicked off its fall season at the Dartmouth Invitational, hosted by Dartmouth College on Friday, September 29, through Sunday, October 1 at the Boss Tennis Center. The Minutewomen finished the weekend with an overall doubles record of 4-5, while collecting an 8-12 record in singles competition.

Along with Massachusetts and Dartmouth, St. John's and Boston College were also in attendance.

Danielle Hack led the Minutewomen, going undefeated in singles. Notably, Hack bested a nationally and regionally ranked opponent in Boston College's Marice Aguiar. Aguiar is ranked number two regionally, and 62nd in the nation.

In doubles play, Hack posted a 2-1 record teaming up with Thamonpan Jonglertrakul and Ella Faessler across the weekend. Freshman Amelia Tye earned a perfect 2-0 doubles record, pairing with Renata Farima and Polina Akimova.

The Minutewomen look ahead to Regionals hosted at Harvard University on Friday, October 6.
