AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team plays a pair of games at home in the Mullins Center this week beginning with Richmond on Wednesday night. The Minutemen and the Spiders tip-off at 7 p.m. on NESN and ESPN+.

Cross' Consecutive Double-Doubles
Matt Cross posted a pair of double-doubles last week and became the first UMass player to accomplish it in back-to-back games since Tre Mitchell in Feb. of 2020. Cross began the week with 15 points, 10 boards, five assists, and four steals at VCU and ended the week with 14 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five more assists at Saint Joseph's. His four double-doubles ranks fourth-most in the A-10.

Welcome Home Sool
Rahsool Diggins had a career game in his return home to Philadelphia on Saturday against Saint Joseph's. The sophomore posted a career-high in scoring with 15 points and set new career-best marks in field goals and 3-point field goals made.

Bench Boost
The Minutemen rank eighth nationally and lead the Atlantic 10 in bench points at 32 points per game. RJ luis leads the bench scoring attack with 9.4 points per contest while Dyondre Dominguez adds 9.2 per game. The UMass bench has outscored opponents in 15-of-19 games and has been outscored just twice this season.

Hitting The Glass
UMass is 18th in the country in offensive rebounds per game at 13.4 and ranks 41st in rebounds per game at 38.5. Matt Cross leads the Minutemen with 6.8 rebounds per contest as part of six players who average 3.8 rebounds or better per game.

Sharpshooting
Dyondre Dominguez ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage at .575 and is third among A-10 leaders who have attempted more than 100 field goals on the year. T.J. Weeks Jr. is top-10 in the league in 3-point percentage at ninth with .405 and is fourth among players that have attempted more than 70 shots from range.

Settling In
Freshman RJ Luis is averaging 12.8 points per game in five games of league play to rank second on the squad. Luis has reached double figures in scoring in all five appearances in league action, including 15 at Saint Joseph's. The guard is also averaging 4.2 rebounds per game in A-10 play, highlighted by a career-best eight boards at George Washington.

Not Up In Here
Wildens Leveque and Tafara Gapare each hold the mark for most blocks in a game by an Atlantic 10 player with five. Leveque set a new Myrtle Beach Invitational record with five blocks in the win over Colorado while Gapare blocked five shots in a win over Saint Louis.

Approaching 300
Head coach Frank Martin is one win away from reaching 300 for his collegiate career and holds a 299-208 (.590) mark in 16 seasons. Martin won 171 games in 10 seasons at South Carolina and picked up 117 wins in five seasons at Kansas State.

Kante Among Active Leaders
Isaac Kante ranks 33rd among active DI leaders in career rebounds with 791 and holds the 38th most career double-doubles with 21. Kante also holds a .580 field goal percentage for his collegiate career to rank 44th-best among active leaders.

Looking Ahead
The Minutemen remain at home this weekend for a Saturday afternoon game against Duquesne at 4 p.m. in the Mullins Center as part of the Leaman Legacy game and Youth Day. UMass heads to Fairfax, Va. on Feb. 1 to take on George Mason before returning home on Feb. 4 for Dr. J Day in a nationally televised game against Davidson.
