Massachusetts 2022 Cross Country Schedule Revealed

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts cross country has announced its 2022 schedule, which consists of seven meets for each gender with both teams opening up on September 3 at the UVM Invitational in Burlington, Vermont. Men's head coach Tim Ritchie begins his fifth season for the Minutemen and Christine Engel will lead the Minutewomen in her second season at the helm.

The following Saturday, September 10, UMass will continue its tradition of hosting the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational at the UMass Cross Country Course.

On Friday, September 30, Massachusetts will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the historic Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh. The Minutemen will be in action on October 8 in Boston when the team heads to Franklin Park for the New England Championships. On October 14, the Minutewomen will get a preview of the NCAA Regionals course at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, New York, for the ECAC Championships.

Both teams will send competitors to the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, October 21 ahead of the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships, which are making their return to Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Saturday, October 29.

UMass will then wrap up its slate at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, November 11.
