Minutewomen win two doubles matches over Big Green
HANOVER, N.H. - Massachusetts tennis secured the doubles point; however, Dartmouth rallied back in singles play as the Big Green defeated the Minutewomen 4-1 at the Boss Tennis Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, on Friday evening.

With the loss, Massachusetts slips to 3-8 on the season. Dartmouth improved to 5-4 with the win.

The Minutewomen secured doubles with identical scores at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Anna Napadiy and Martina Bocchi battled by Abigail Chiu and Chidimma Okpara 7-5, while Jasmin Tripathy and Jovana Bogicevic did so at No. 3 against Catherine Cable and Emily Zhou.

Dartmouth responded with four singles victories for the team win, doing so at No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. Jingyi Peng provided the decisive match at No. 5 with her 6-3, 6-1 outcome over Tripathy.

Massachusetts concludes its stay in Hanover with a Sat., Feb. 22 neutral-site match against Michigan State at the Boss Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
