AMHERST, Mass. – The promotions lineup is set for the upcoming 2019-20 University of Massachusetts hockey season. Check out the rundown of everything going on at the Mullins Center surrounding each of the Minutemen's 17 home regular season home games. October 11 vs. RPI: 2018-19 Season Celebration Â

The 2019-20 hockey season officially begins at the Mullins Center! Before turning the page to the 2019-20 season, we will take time to celebrate the historic season that was 2018-19. Join us as we unveil banners to forever commemorate a historic run we will never forget. A limited number of replica banners will be given away, so be sure to get to the Mullins Center early and claim yours! Additionally, season ticket holders from the 2018-19 season can claim their commemorative hockey puck on the concourse.
October 18Â vs. Union: AHA Night
Our program prides itself on connecting with the community, especially the youth in hockey! We celebrate and recognize the youth program who resides in Amherst, in Amherst Hockey Association! Our program collaborates with AHA on a variety of events, both on and off ice throughout the year. We highlight them, and their efforts as we kickoff another hockey season!
October 19Â vs. Union: Fall Fest
Celebrate the fall season with us on a Saturday night in October! There will be pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving, fall décor, and trick-or-treating on the concourse. It is also Family Weekend on our campus, as we welcome the families of all current UMass students. We cap off the evening with our first Postgame Skate, presented by Texas Roadhouse, of the season. Stick around after the game, and skate on the ice with some current players!
October 25Â vs. AIC: Homecoming
With both programs coming off historic 2018-19 postseason runs, we host the Yellow Jackets on homecoming weekend in a battle of Western Mass. We welcome back all UMass alumni, especially those who wore the maroon and white before us. Ticket packages are available that will cover the entire weekends' athletic events. We will also be giving away a limited number of Chancellor Subbaswamy bobbleheads, so make sure you arrive early to secure yours!
November 2 vs. Northeastern: Stick Salute To Service

As Veteran's Day approaches, we take time to thank, recognize, and appreciate all those who have served, are currently serving, or will serve in the military. We will host military personnel on the concourse, as they share resources with those who may need them. Additionally, we will be giving away a limited number of camo mini sticks!
November 16 vs. Boston University: Season Ticket Holder Appreciation
Our loyal season ticket holders are incredibly important to our program, and represent a critical part of our fan base. These are the fans who pledge to commit to our program, and show up game after game to fill the Mullins Center. We encourage season ticket holders to bring friends/family to the Mullins Center, and share their excitement of UMass Hockey. Lastly, an exclusive giveaway will be available for season ticket holders, in limited quantity! It's Saturday night, so be sure to stick around for the postgame skate as well, courtesy of Texas Roadhouse!
November 22 vs. Merrimack: Flagship Family Night
For Flagship Family Night at the Mullins Center, we encourage all local families to come out and support our program! There will be a poster making station for fans to create their own "The Flagship Is" phrase. During this game, we will also take time to recognize all of the programs that make up the Commonwealth's Flagship athletic department! We will also host a Thanksgiving Food drive to benefit the Amherst Survival Center in anticipation of the upcoming holiday.
November 30 vs. Quinnipiac: Community Partner Night
As a program and athletic department, we pride ourselves on building positive relationships across campus departments as well as with local businesses. On Community Partners night, we invite all partners to come out and support our program in the Mullins Center!
December 6 vs. Maine: Educator Appreciation Night
It's ever important to recognize those who dedicate their lives to educating our community. On Educator Appreciation Night, we invite all employees involved with education out to the Mullins Center. Discounted tickets will be provided in advance to those employed in the education sector. Additionally, there will be a limited number of exclusive giveaway items for anyone who can show an ID representing their job in education. Our student-athletes will also recognize and thank the specific professors, faculty, staff members on this campus who influence the lives of our student-athletes every day.
December 7Â vs. Maine: Hockey HolidaysÂ
As the holiday season approaches, we want to make sure we take time to celebrate and recognize all that this time of year brings! Deck out in your most festive attire, and come to the Mullins Center for a game full of holiday cheer. We will host our annual teddy bear toss during this game, so be sure to bring a bear to contribute!
January 11 vs. Boston College: Youth Hockey NightÂ
All of our student-athletes started in youth hockey, and during this game, we will recognize the youth hockey players of today. We will also take time to thank the coaches who aid in the development of these young kids and their game. All youth hockey teams in the area are encouraged to come out the game, wear their jerseys and show how much this sport is growing and represented in this area! We will have a youth activity corner on the concourse, and a giveaway (limited supplies) for youth hockey players only! Youth hockey teams will also be invited to line the tunnel when our team takes the ice!
January 24 vs. New Hampshire: Skating Strides
On this evening, we play for something larger than the game - breast cancer awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and will have the opportunity to honor the individuals in their lives impacted by breast cancer, filling out posters for who they "play for", which will be shown on the jumbotron during the game.Â
January 31 vs. Boston College: #ChillTheBill (White Out)
Always a fan favorite, our annual white out, that as of last season we deemed #ChillTheBill. We encourage all fans to come decked out in all white as we take on the Eagles for the second time this season in our barn! A limited number of white foam cheer sticks will be given away to illuminate fan sections!
February 7 vs. Providence: 90s Night
We take a trip down memory lane, and ask our fans to come rockin' their best 90s attire for our game against Providence. The entire night will take you back to the 90s, as we pull out some neon, classic 90s tunes and other iconic elements from the 1990s. There will be a neon rally towel giveaway (multi-color) as well!
February 22Â vs. UMass Lowell: Miracle Anniversary Celebration
On this date 40 years ago, Herb Brooks and company completed what has come to be known as the "Miracle on Ice". Come decked out in patriotic gear and celebrate this historic night with us! We will play some of the best highlights and moments from that game, as well as remember the iconic speech Coach Brooks gave. It's USA night at the Mullins Center!
Feb. 29Â vs. Senior Night
We will take time on the final Saturday home game of the season to recognize the dedicated efforts of the seniors on this year's squad. We will celebrate their individual accomplishments and all that they have contributed to our program over their time in Amherst. Come out and support our senior class and their families!
March 5 vs. University of Vermont: Season Ticket Holder AppreciationÂ
As the 2019-20 regular season home schedule concludes, we will take another opportunity to appreciate the season ticket holders who pledged their commitment to our program all year long! Season ticket holders will be able to pick up their exclusive gift and be able to purchase additional single-game tickets at a discounted rate! We appreciate those who are part of #NewMass Nation all season long!
