The pair will be honored at the weekly luncheon tomorrow afternoon.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts men's soccer junior Marvyn Dorchin and women's soccer senior Rebeca Frisk were named the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week presented by UMassFive College Credit Union on Monday afternoon. Women's Soccer Head Coach Jason Dowiak and Football Quarterbacks Coach Angelo Mirando will be guest speakers as the pair is honored at Wednesday's luncheon.

Dorchin (Nice, France) was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week after he anchored a UMass defense that picked up a pair of shutout wins at Rudd Field to became the first Minuteman squad since 1996 to start a season with three consecutive clean sheets. The goalkeeper saved two shots in each game, a 4-0 win over Sacred Heart and a 1-0 win over Boston University, including a save in Saturday's win over the Terriers with just over a minute remaining to keep the clean sheet alive.

Frisk (Long Valley, N.J.) scored twice off the bench in a 3-2 win on the road at Siena, picking up the game-winning goal in the 78th-minute of the victory on her way to being named the A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The forward helped extend the Minutewomen's unbeaten streak to four matches as UMass is 3-0-1 during the stretch.
