UMass Duo Collects A-10 Cross Country Weekly Accolades

Conant tabbed Women’s Rookie of the Week, Bathgate named Men’s Performer of the Week.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts cross country runners Sarah Conant and Dawson Bathgate have been honored by the Atlantic 10 for their performances at the New England Championships last weekend. Conant was selected as the Women's Rookie of the Week, while Bathgate garnered Men's Performer of the Week recognition.

Conant placed ninth overall in the field of 107 runners with a time of 18 minutes, nine seconds at the New England Championships, helping UMass to a third-place team finish in a field of 22 teams.

Bathgate took eighth overall at the New England Championships, completing the 8K race in 24 minutes, 59 seconds. The Rochester, New York native helped the Minutemen to a third place finish out of 25 schools.

While the Minutewomen are idle this weekend, the Minutemen will travel to the Princeton XC Invitational this Saturday, October 25, in Princeton, New Jersey.
