Massachusetts Soccer School Hosting Four ID Camps This Summer

The ID camps offer opportunities to get evaluated by the men’s soccer staff and see the UMass campus.
AMHERST, Mass. – The Massachusetts Soccer School will be hosting four ID camps this summer on the University of Massachusetts campus, offering players ages 14-21 opportunities to get evaluated by the men's soccer staff and see the UMass community. The one day camps will be held on June 30, July 1, Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 in addition to two more ID camps scheduled for Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.

The ID camp offers high school aged players an opportunity to be seen by the UMass coaching staff, train in a college environment and learn the ins and outs of the recruiting process. The camps put players into a competitive environment with skill sessions and games that allow athletes the chance to make an impression while providing classroom sessions that give them an insight into the recruiting process. Each player will receive an evaluation within a week of the camp. Campers will be able to see the UMass campus and facilities with lunch provided at the UMass Hampshire Dining Hall.

Eight players on the 2018 UMass Fall roster attended ID camps for a squad that became the first team since 1991 to win both the Atlantic 10 regular-season outright and the tournament title in the same year in 2017. UMass secured the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the first appearance for the Minutemen since 2008 as they finished the season with a 15-4-3 record and a 10-2-1 mark on their home grass at Rudd Field during the regular-season. 1:30 – Leave Lunch for Afternoon Session
1:45 – Dynamic Warmup
2:00 – Full-Sided Games (11 v 11)
4:00 – Campers Depart
