UMass will take on Georgia State on Wednesday night at home in game number four of their five-game homestand.

AMHERST, Mass. University of Massachusetts men's basketball team is set for game number four of their five-game homestand at the Mullins Center as they will take on Georgia State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Minutemen (6-5 Overall) head into the matchup against the Panthers (7-4 Overall) as winners of three straight contests by nine or more points after defeating Georgia 72-62 last time out.

Saturday's game will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network and will be broadcasted on the UMass Sports Network anchored by flagship station 105.5 FM WEEI. Josh Maurer and Adam Frenier will have the call on both platforms.

UMass takes a 6-0 home record and a 35-3 non-conference mark over the last six seasons at home into Wednesday's contest after defeating SEC opponent Georgia 72-62 on Saturday behind five double-digit scorers. Luwane Pipkins, the third leading scorer in the Atlantic 10, dropped in 10 of his team-leading 17 points early in the first half as the Minutemen grabbed an early 16-2 lead over the Bulldogs. Carl Pierre added 15 points on the afternoon, including 12 in the first 20 minutes for a UMass squad that shot 57-perfent from the field and 62-percent from deep in the opening half, marking the second-best start for the Minutemen after a 61-percent shooting start against Providence on Dec. 9.

Chris Baldwin, along with Pierre, came off the bench to help the reserves combine for 30 points with 11 of his own on a day where the sophomore knocked down a new career-high for 3-pointers made with three. Rashaan Holloway dropped in 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting while C.J. Anderson rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points. Anderson added eight rebounds and seven assists as he dished out a team-high in assists for the fourth consecutive contest. The senior ranks third in the A-10 in assists per game with a 5.3 average.

Anderson's team-high eight boards on Saturday helped the Minutemen out-rebound their opponent for the third straight game as they built a 39-29 advantage on the glass against the Bulldogs. UMass also out-rebounded Providence by two and Holy Cross by 11 in the last two contests for a squad that averages 35.2 rebounds per game to their opponents' 31.7 per contest.

The win over Georgia marked the 10th UMass win over an SEC opponent and the first since a 92-90 win over LSU at home on Nov. 12, 2013.

Georgia State comes to the Mullins Center after dropping an 88-83 decision in overtime to A-10 opponent Dayton on Saturday night. The Panthers cut into a double-digit deficit in the second half to force overtime behind a career-high 28 points from junior Devin Mitchell. Mitchell ranks second on the team in points per game with 12.2 while sophomore guard D'Marcus Simonds leads the way with 20.9 points per game.

UMass remains at the Mullins Center to wrap up non-conference play on Friday, Dec. 22 against Maine at 4 p.m. before beginning Atlantic 10 league play on Dec. 30 at St. Bonaventure.
