Softball Announces Golf Tournament Date and Fall Schedule

AMHERST, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts softball has announced its fall schedule for 2016, including its annual Alumni Weekend. The Minutewomen will play a six-game fall exhibition slate, with doubleheaders against Sacred Heart, Boston College, and Dartmouth. The fall schedule concludes with the annual alumni game on Oct. 8, and golf scramble on Oct. 9.
Kristi Stefanoni's squad will kick off the fall action on Sunday, Sept. 18 with two away games at Sacred Heart at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Two weeks later, Boston College comes to Amherst on Oct. 1 for a doubleheader beginning at noon. A day later on Oct. 2, the Minutewomen will host a doubleheader against Dartmouth beginning at 12 p.m.
Alumni Weekend kicks off on Sat., Oct. 8 with the Alumni Game at noon at Sortino Field. All UMass softball alums are encouraged to take part and the event will be open to the public.
Alumni Weekend concludes on Sun., Oct. 9 with the Annual Golf Scramble at Ledges Golf Course in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The 9:30 a.m. shotgun start, captain-and-crew (scramble), event costs $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, lunch at the turn, dinner, snacks, gifts and prizes.
