Barrowman Selected to A-10 Men's Soccer Preseason Rookie Team

Incoming freshman expected to be impact player for the Minutemen
AMHERST, Massachusetts -Â One of the impact players of this year's signing class, freshman forward Andrew Barrowman was named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team as announced by the league office today.
The native of Marshfield, Mass., joins the Minutemen this fall as part of 11 newcomers to the program. The 6-foot-1, 160 pound striker played extensively with the New England Revolution Academy as a member of the Under-16 and Under-18 programs prior to signing with UMass.
Barrowman also spent time with Seacoast United, the Glasgow Rangers (Scotland), and three club teams in Chicago. In 2014-15, he made 36 appearances with 26 starts with the Revs Academy. For the Revs Under-16 team, he tallied nine goals and three assists. Barrowman also played in two matches with the Revs Under-18 squad and spent time training with the U.S. Soccer Under-17 men's national team.
The Minutemen will officially begin the 2016 campaign on Friday, August 26 at Syracuse (7 p.m.) with the game televised live on Time Warner Cable Sports in New York and on ESPN3/WatchESPN. The Orange are coming off a 2015 College Cup appearance and were ranked No. 6 in the NSCAA preseason poll.
