ESPN on Flowers: "He's a left-handed perimeter forward who can play either as a big wing or face-up four with his newfound size, depending on match-ups. He's very long and pretty fluid covering the court. He has a compact shooting stroke and soft touch from behind the three-point line and is equally capable of making some tough pull-ups off the dribble. He can surprise you with some plays up above the rim and generally speaking has a lot of upside still left to discover."

Chose UMass Over: Boston College, Maryland and Providence, among others.

Kellogg On Flowers Choosing UMass: "We are ecstatic to have Tyrn Flowers join our UMass basketball program. He has shown unbelievable character and all the intangibles we look for in a student-athlete. Tyrn is a multi-dimensional player on both ends who can play multiple positions and we will be happy to watch him grow and progress learning the game. His length and his athleticism fits well with how we like to play basketball at UMass. Tyrn solidifies our incoming class and fills the final needs we wanted to address with this next group of Minutemen."
