UMass Hockey Announces 2014-15 Schedule

UMass then begin the regular season the following weekend at home against Boston University, marking the second straight year that the Minutemen have faced the Terriers in the season opener.
The Minutemen enter a stretch of six straight on the road with a weekend trip to Michigan State on Oct. 17-18. UMass swept the series against the Spartans last fall at the Mullins Center.
On Oct. 24-25, the Minutemen make a trip into Boston to play at Northeastern and Boston College on back-to-back nights. UMass then closes out the road swing with a trek to Orono, Maine, for a pair of Hockey East meetings on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, the first of four games against the Black Bears on the year.
A Western, Mass., matchup opens up a three-game homestand for the Minutemen when the squad plays host to American International on Friday, Nov. 7. One week later, UMass faces off against Boston College in the Mullins Center on Friday, Nov. 21, before closing out the stint in Amherst against Vermont on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The pre-Thanksgiving meeting with the Catamounts returns to the schedule this season as the Minutemen play at Vermont on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The following weekend, UMass faces Quinnipiac in a home-and-home that will take the Minutemen to Hamden, Conn., on Friday, Nov. 28, before the Bobcats visit the Mullins Center on Saturday, Nov. 29.
UMass continues a string of four straight at home with a pair against Notre Dame on Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6. The weekend will mark the Irish's first visit to the Mullins Center since 1994 and first as a member of Hockey East.
The Minutemen play once more before the holiday break, hosting a non-conference matchup with Northeastern on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
On Dec 28-29, UMass closes out the calendar year with a trip to Burlington for the Catamount Cup where the squad has a set of afternoon games on the docket, against Providence and Air Force, respectively.
The Minutemen then ring in the New Year with their first Hockey East meeting against Connecticut on Friday, Jan. 2, that will kick off four in a row at the Mullins Center.
UMass hosts a pair of non-conference games against Maine on Friday, Jan. 9 and Saturday, Jan. 10, and caps off the homestand with New Hampshire coming to Amherst on Friday, Jan. 16. The Minutemen travel to UNH the following evening for a 6:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, Jan. 17.
The weekend of Jan. 23-24, UMass is slated for a home-and-home with Merrimack that takes the Minutemen to North Andover on Friday with the Warriors returning the trip on Saturday.
UMass then closes out the month with a road trip to Boston University on Friday, Jan. 30.
The Minutemen host Northeastern for the 1,500th game in UMass hockey history on Friday, Feb. 6, before entering a stretch of three straight against UMass Lowell.
UMass faces UMass Lowell at home on Saturday, Feb. 7, and Friday, Feb. 13, prior to heading to Lowell on Saturday, Feb. 14.
A home-and-home against Providence is set for the following weekend, Feb. 20-21, with Saturday's game against the Friars at the Mullins Center marking Senior Night for the Minutemen's seven seniors.
UMass closes out the regular season on Friday, Feb. 27, with a trip to Hartford, Conn., to take on Connecticut.
Season tickets for UMass hockey are now on sale and are available by calling the UMass Ticket Office at 866-UMASS-TIX. Mini plan ticket packs are slated to go on sale Monday, Sept. 8. Single-game tickets are set to go on sale Sept. 22.
