* UMass improved to 5-1 on the season and 3-0 at home. The Minutemen have at least 5 wins through their first 6 games for the fourth time in the last five years.
* UMass has won 13-consecuitve non-conference home games and is 34-9 in six-plus seasons under Derek Kellogg.
* UMass set season-highs for field goals (37), attempts (70) and field goal percentage (.529). The Minutemen also shot over 50 percent in each half for the first time this year - 50% in the opening 20 minutes was a high for the 1st half.
* UMass also established a new Mullins Center record with 17 steals, breaking the previous mark of 15 set against Xavier on Jan. 5, 2005 - a triple-overtime game that was played before a record low crowd on a day similar to today with a snow storm and students not on campus.
* The Minutemen handed out a season-high 19 assists on their 37 field goals. UMass finished with 16 turnovers. This is the second time this season it has had more assists than turnovers (15/13 versus Siena).
* UMass set or tied first-half highs for points (36), field goal pct. (.500), 3-point field goal pct. (.429), assists (10) and steals (9).
* UMass entered the game leading the country in free throws and free throw attempts but was just 2-of-6 in the game.
* UMass tied its season-high rebound margin of +16 (43-27).
* The Minutemen led at the half for the first time this season.
* UMass scored a season-high 52 points in the paint.
* The Minutemen had a season-high six steals off its press, scoring eight points off those turnovers. UMass scored 27 points off 20 Northeastern turnovers.
* UMass had four players reach double figures in scoring for the third time this season, improving to 4-0 when that happens.
* The UMass bench scored 36 points, just above the season-high 35 against Florida State on Sunday. The Minutemen reserves outscored the Huskies' 36-6.
* UMass finished with 12 fast break points, just shy of the season-high of 14 against Boston College.
* Junior G Jabarie Hinds came off the bench to score a game-high 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, one game after hitting for 15 against Florida State. He also led all players with five assists.
* Junior G Derrick Gordon finished with 13 points, a game-high seven rebounds, three assists and career-high tying five steals.
* Sophomore F Seth Berger had a breakout game, scoring a career-high nine points on 4-of-8 shooting, to go along with a career-high four steals. Two of his steals came on the press.
