Q: What number are you going to be wearing at UMass and why did you choose that number?
A: "I'm going to be #3 this year. It's a new number for me. When I got to pick my number it was the first one available on the list, so I just went with that. There's no specific reason behind it."
Q: Is there a specific NHL player that you model your game after?
A: "It's tough to say because those guys are really good. Patrick Kane, maybe."
Q: What is your best talent other than hockey?
A: "I like to golf. I'm not very good, but I like to play with the guys on the team."
Q: What is it like going to school with a junior league teammate?
A: "It's going to be nice. Dennis Krevchenko and I played together last year and he's a really good hockey player, so I'm really excited about that. It'll be nice to know one guy on the team. He'll benefit UMass a lot."
Q: What is something UMass fans should know about Dennis?
A: "He likes to mix it up on the ice. He'll get in other guys heads. It's the kind of player he is and it's exciting to watch, so everyone should be excited about him coming in."
Q: What are your interests outside of hockey?
A: "I'm a big sports fan. I'm a big baseball guy and football."
Q: Do you root for Chicago teams?
A: "Yeah, I'm a big Hawks fans and a big Bears fan. Go Cubs! Chicago's a good sports town."
Q: What are your favorite sports memories from watching games?
A: "When the Bears were in the Super Bowl, Devin Hester had a 100-yard return to start the game."
Q: What is the biggest difference here compared to living in the Midwest?
A: "I think the people will be a little bit different, but I think it'll be for the better. I'm excited to get to know everyone and it should be fun."
Q: What are your academic interests?
A: "I'm undeclared on my major but I'm looking to get into the Sport Management program and maybe psychology."
