AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts field hockey sophomore Izzie Delario and swimming and diving junior Mikhaila Eckhardt share the UMass Dinn Brothers Athlete of the Week honor. Delario scored twice as the Minutewomen defeated La Salle, 3-1 on Friday, Oct. 24 and clinched a berth in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Tournament. Eckhardt completed her first career diving sweep as Massachusetts bested Boston University.
The luncheon takes place from Noon until 1:15 p.m. at the Football Performance Center on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Parking is available for free in Lot 11 near McGuirk Stadium. A buffet salad-to-dessert lunch will be served for $14 per person.
UMass football defensive coordinator Tom Massella will serve as the guest speaker at the luncheon, during which Delario and Eckhardt will be honored for their accomplishments.
