UMass Rowing Sweeps Holy Cross In Four Races

WORCESTER, Mass. - The UMass rowing team defeated Holy Cross in four events on Saturday, taking first place in the Varsity 8+, Junior Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, and Novice 8+. The V4 won by the greatest margin, crossing the finish line 25 seconds before the second UMass V4 boat.
The Varsity 8+ won by just over five seconds, finishing with a time of 6:49. The Novice boat finished with a time of 7:31 and the second UMass novice boat finished in third with a time of 7:46.6.
The Junior Varsity 8+ had the closest race, taking first by just over two seconds.
UMass will compete at the annual Knecht Cup next Saturday and Sunday April 13-14.
