NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The women's cross country team will compete in their final meet of the regular season this weekend at the CCSU Mini-Meet. UMass will travel to New Britain, Conn. for the less than 2-mile race beginning at 4:00 p.m. This will be the first meet Julie LaFreniere's team has competed in since the New England Championship back on October 12.

The sole purpose of the CCSU Mini-Meet is to allow the Minutewomen to work on their speed as they get set to travel to Richmond, Va. for the 2013 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship. Friday Rachel Hilliard will attempt to lead the Minutewomen in each of their regular season meets. However the shorter course may favor the runners who excel in shorter distances.

At the New England Championship the Minutewomen placed 11th overall as a team. Hilliard led the Minutewomen with her 26th place finish overall while six of the team's top seven finishers improved their times from the last time they ran in Franklin Park.
