Malik Advances To ITA Regional Championships Round Of 32

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - UMass tennis freshman Aarzoo Malik advanced to Sunday's Round of 32 in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships with a straight set win over Lauren Frazier of Cornell (6-4, 6-2) on Saturday evening. She is the only Minutewoman to advance after sophomore Arielle Griffin and senior Sonia Bokhari each fell on Saturday afternoon.
Bokhari, who won an earlier match on Saturday morning to advance to the Round of 64, lost to Lexi Borr of Boston College (6-4, 6-1). Griffin fell to top-seeded Sol Eskenazi of Penn (6-2, 6-3) after having a bye for the first round.
Malik will play again on Sunday morning with the match set for 11:15 AM.
