Glasper Grabs Third A-10 Rookie Of The Week Award

AMHERST, Mass. - Chanel Glasper was once again given the honor of being named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Tennis Rookie Performer of the Week. The nomination marks the third time this season that Glasper has captured the award. The Texas native posted three singles and doubles wins this past week against Providence, Sacred Heart and Boston University.

In her first season as a collegiate athlete, Glasper has compiled a total of 22 overall singles wins this season with a 13-5 dual match record. Her 22 wins are the most at UMass since Michele Spiess recorded 24 wins during the 2005-06 season. She has won her last five singles matches and has added a total of nine doubles wins during dual matches this season.

Glasper will try to help the Minutewomen notch their 12th victory of the season tomorrow in Amherst against Bryant for Senior Day at 3:00 p.m.
