NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Karen Roa was named A-10 Conference Performer of the Week for Track and Field on Monday, April 25. This past weekend at the Larry Ellis Invitational, Roa set the all-time mark for UMass in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Roa set the new best time in school history to 10:34.16, which is 12.03 seconds faster than the previous record, which she also set at last year's ECAC meet. This time also qualifies her for the New England Championship meet to be held May 13 and 14 in New Haven, Conn.

The Minutewomen have their final home meet of the season, the UMass Pre-Conference Meet this Saturday, April 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the UMass Track and Field Complex.
