Minutewomen Finish Up Day One Of A-10s

NORTH KINGSTON, R.I. - The women's track and field team finished up day one of the Atlantic 10 Championship meet. They are currently in seventh place out of 11 teams and have 12 points. The distance medley team stood out today with a third place finish and a time of 11:49.64.
Sarah Plesh finished fifth overall in the pentathlon, and came in first for the high jump section of the event. She jumped a height of 5-03.25, which was a season high for her.
Gina Perno and Deanna Julian both had fourth place finishes in the 1000 meter run and the 500 meter run, respectively. Perno had a time of 2:55.03 and Julian had a time of 1:16.81.
Rounding out the efforts by the Minutewomen, Chrissy Silvar finished sixth in the pole vault, jumping a height of 10-10.00.
