During the 2011-12 season, UMass will be featuring a "Minutewoman of the Game" at home games throughout the year. In addition to being featured on the program card, the Minutewoman of the Game will also be available for an autograph session following the game.
Redshirt sophomore point guard Carolann Cloutier is in her first season on the court with the Minutewomen following sitting out last year after transferring from Old Dominion. One of three internationals on the UMass roster, Carolann is from Montreal, Quebec.
Some of the things that attracted Carolann to UMass were the opportunity to play in a strong conference and be close to home. She loves campus life and the proximity of all Amherst has to offer. Carolann is also enjoying the fact that her parents and friends from back home in Montreal can come to many of the Minutewomen's home games.
Carolann is currently majoring in Psychology and is considering adding a second major in Hospitality and Tourism. She plans on going to graduate school for psychology, as well.
The daughter of Robert Cloutier and Carole Tremblay, Carolann is an only child who is the first person from either side of her family to attend college. She has a talent for art and decoration and loves traveling. Several of the places she has visited include France, Guatemala and Mexico.
