Minutewomen Receive CSCAA All-Academic Team Award

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's swimming and diving team has been named a 2009-10 All-Academic Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. Head coach Bob Newcomb and diving coach Mandy Hixon's Minutewomen had a 3.05 team GPA in the 2009-10 academic year.
UMass is one of seven Atlantic 10 women's swimming and diving teams to receive the honor. Duquesne, Fordham, George Washington, La Salle, Rhode Island, Xavier are all on the CSCAA's All-Academic Team list as well.
The Minutewomen were led in the classroom by 2010 A-10 Academic All-Conference Team member Jessica Starosielec. The junior joined men's diver Adam Duffield as UMass swimming and diving team members to receive the honor.
