UMass Recruiting Class Earns Praise From TennisRecruiting.net

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass' incoming tennis recruiting class has been recognized the Tennis Recruiting Network, which released its Top 25 Mid-Major Women's Recruiting Classes for 2010 on Monday. The Minutewomen are second on the list, which was selected from over 50 schools.

In the overall top-25 women's college recruiting classes announced recently on TennisRecruiting.net, UMass was just shy of breaking into that elite group and was the top program in those also receiving votes with 26.

The trio of Yuliana Motyl (Toronto, Ontario), Clara Matias (Barcelona, Spain) and Jessica Podlofsky (Port Washington, N.Y.) will join the Minutewomen this fall for the 2010-11 season. Motyl has been ranked as high as 511th on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) world junior rankings, Matias has been ranked as high as 48th in the Spanish National Ranking and Podlofsky is currently 154th on the tennis recruiting national rankings for the 2010 class.
