AMHERST, Mass. - UMass women's basketball senior Cerie Mosgrove was tabbed UMass Athlete of the Week on Monday. She will be honored at the UMass Sports Luncheon, which will be held in the Marriott Room on the 11th floor of the Campus Center at noon on Wednesday.

Mosgrove led five UMass scorers in double figures in a 78-72 comeback victory over Miami Ohio on Dec. 21 with a game-high 18 points, while also chipping in seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes on the floor. The game marked her seventh time in double figures this season and was the first time five Minutewomen scored 10 or more points in a game since Dec. 10, 2005 at Syracuse.

Mosgrove shot 6-for-10 from the field, including a blistering 5-for-8 (.625) from three point range as UMass overcame a 17-point deficit in the victory for a second straight contest and ended Miami's six-game winning streak.

Entering Wednesday's game at Maine, Mosgrove is averaging 11.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per-game, ranking third on the team in both categories.
