Madison, Conn. - The UMass women's cross country team wrapped up competition at the NCAA Regional Championships in Madison, Conn. this Saturday. UMass finished in 19th place (493 points) out of the 35 teams. Taking the gold was Syracuse with 78 points, followed by Stony Brook with 83 and Providence with 87.

Karen Roa crossed first for the Minutewomen in the second consecutive meet. Roa notched a 47th place finish out of the 247 total harriers, posting a time of 21:25. Senior Elizabeth Fisk followed with a time of 22:08 and a 101st place finish while Gina Perno grabbed an 104th place finish with a time of 22:14.

Rounding out the top five finishers for UMass were Courtney Baldwin and Shiyi Zan. Baldwin (22:22) and Zan (22:32) had respective finishes of 113th place and 128th place.
