UMass Falls To Richmond In Third Place Match, 4-0

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - UMass fell in the third place match to third-ranked Richmond to solidify their fourth place finish in the conference for the year. The Minutewomen (12-12, 5-2 Atlantic 10) lost the doubles point and Richmond (10-11, 4-2 Atlantic 10) went on to take the first three singles matches and the third place finish in the conference.

After being ranked #1 in the tournament after an undefeated Atlantic 10 regular season, UMass took their first game of the tournament ending Saint Louis' shot at the title. But they would go on to fall to Xavier in the next round and eventually lose to Richmond in the third place match.
