Candynce Boney Named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. - For the third time this spring season, Candynce Boney (Las Vegas, Nev.) was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. Boney has had an outstanding freshman campaign as she is the team leader in both singles and doubles wins (11 and 15 respectively).
Her honor comes after she went 1-1 in doubles play and 2-0 in singles play against Ivy League powerhouse, Brown and Siena. Boney was the only player to record a point in the match at Brown in Providence, R.I. Brown has won each of the match-ups between the two teams.
Boney then went on to win her doubles match against Siena with No. 1 doubles partner Masha Pozar (Ljubljana, Slovenia), 8-1. She also defeated her No. 2 Siena singles foe 6-0, 6-2.
Boney has also been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week in addition to her three Rookie of the Week honors.
