Bethlahem, Pa. - Senior Christina Derosa (Sound Beach, N.Y.) and sophomore Shiyi Zan (Ottawa, Ontario) lead the Minutewomen to a 36th place finish Friday at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
DeRosa placed 21st out of the 317 runners participating. She finished with a time of 21 minutes and 17 seconds. Zan was the second Minutewoman to cross the finishline for UMass, finishing 147th with a time of 23 minutes and two seconds.
Rounding out the top five for UMass were freshman Lauren Stocker (Westfield, Mass.), freshman Kristin Darling (Miller Place, N.Y.), and junior Beth Harlow (Melrose, Mass.) finishing 149, 284, and 290 respectively.
The Minutewomen will be back in action Saturday as they head to Boston for the New England Championships.
