UMass Places 11th at Paul Short Invitational

Bethlehem, Pa. - Freshman Jeff Hill (Blackstone, Mass.) and sophomore Daniel Barry (Sheffield, Mass.) lead the way for UMass Friday at the historical Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. The Minutemen finished 11th overall, out of 41 teams. Hill placed 52nd while Barry placed 54th out of the 268 individuals running.
Hill was the first Minuteman to cross the finishline and finished the race in 25 minutes and 22 seconds. Barry came in just one second behind UMass' top finisher and placed 54th with a time of 25 minutes and 23 seconds.
Sophomore Jonathon Pierce(Hanover, Mass.), junior Jesse Regnier(Hampden, Mass.), and sophomore Andrew McCann (Fayetteville, N.Y.) rounded out the top five for UMass placing 66th, 78th, and 98th respectively.
The Minutemen will race again next Saturday in Boston at the New England Championships.
