Tamara Tatham Named UMass/Dinn Brothers Athlete Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. -- Senior women's basketball forward Tamara Tatham (Brampton, Ontario) has been named the UMass/Dinn Brothers Athlete of the Week the Sports Luncheon Committee announced Tuesday afternoon. Tatham will receive her award at the weekly UMass Sports Luncheon on Wednesday at Noon in the Amherst Room of the Campus Center (Room 1009). The scheduled speakers are Associate Athletic Director Tim Kenney and hockey coach Don Cahoon.
Tatham scored 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field and also added six rebounds, four assists and five steals in UMass' lone game last week, a 70-64 loss at Boston College. Tatham scored 17 points inthe second half alone and helped the Minutewomen nearly pull off the upset. UMass led by as many as six points in the second half and the game was tied until the Eagles closed out on a 6-0 run in the final 59 seconds.
UMass continues its season-long, six-game road trip Wednesday night at Holy Cross. Tip-off from the Hart Center in Worcester is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
