Pozar And Spiess Eliminated At ITA Regionals

HANOVER, N.H. - Michele Spiess and Masha Pozar were eliminated from the ITA Regionals on Sunday. In singles action, Spiess and Pozar both fell in the round of 64. In doubles play, they were unable to defeat a pair of Laura Peterzan and Preethi Makundan from Harvard.
Michele Spiess received a bye in round one. In round two, she fell to Alina Sullivan of Boston College, 6-4, 6-3.
After winning two singles matches on Friday and one on Saturday, Masha Pozar ran out of gas in the field of 64. She was eliminated by Eleanor Peters of the University of Maryland, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles action, Spiess and Pozar were defeated by Laura Peterzan and Preethi Makundan of Harvard, 8-2.
