AMHERST, MASS. - The men's cross country team took 12th while the women take ninth at the Albany Invitational. Many of the familiar faces from the men's team did not race as they were resting for the Atlantic 10 Championships to be held in two weeks. Leading the way for the men was junior Mark Kenwood (Cumberland, R.I.) who placed 54th overall with a time of 26:17.3. Junior Christina Derosa finished 18th overall with a time of 18:30.5 leading the women to an impressive 9th place finish.

Finishing just behind Kenwood was sophomore Josh Boone (Gardner, Mass.) who finished 57th with a time of 26:19.5. Following Boone was sophomore Kevin Quadrozzi (Pittsfield, Mass.), senior Aaron Strellner (Highland Park, Ill.) and junior Joe Czupryna (Chicopee, Mass.) who finished in 62nd, 69th and 79th, respectively.

Following Christina Derosa for the Minutewomen was junior Amber Sayer (Amherst, Mass.) who finished 45th overall in 19:04.9. Senior Cuisle Kierans (Newbury, Mass.), freshman Eilis Kierans (Newbury, Mass.) and junior Ashley Davidson (Natick, Mass.) rounded out the top five for the women finishing 47th, 52nd and 69th, respectively.

The men's and women's cross country teams will return to action in two weeks on the 28th of October to compete in the A-10 Championships.
