Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth At Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, N.H. - Sophomore Nils Fischer (Stow, Mass.) led the University of Massachusetts men's cross country team with a 10th place finish as the Minutemen took fourth among nine teams on Saturday morning at the Dartmouth Invitational.

Fischer competed the 8k course in 25 minutes, 53.20 seconds. This was the second time in his career that he led the UMass harriers in a meet.

Seniors Ryan Corbett (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Sean Corbett (Highland, N.Y.) completed the course in 27th and 30th, respectively, to finish as the second and third runners for UMass. Freshman Jesse Regnier (Hampden, Mass.) and junior Michael Dulong (North Caldwell, N.J.) rounded out the top-five runners for UMass as they finished 43rd and 44th overall.

The Minutemen return to action next Saturday when they host Maine and Vermont. Due to construction on the UMass campus, the meet will be held at Amherst College.
