Tamara Tatham Selected To Canadian Development National Team

TORONTO, Ontario -- University of Massachusetts junior Tamara Tatham (Brampton, Ontario) has been selected to the Canadian Women's Basketball Development National Team that will participate in the FISU World University Games in Izmir, Turkey, Aug. 10-20. The team leaves Wednesday and will train for a week in Turkey before the tournament begins.
Tatham was initially selected to the 15-player training squad roster after participating in the combined Senior and Developmental Women's National Team tryouts that took place July 8-10, at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. The team, coached by Wilfrid Laurier head coach Stu Jones, was then narrowed down to 12 players to make up the squad that will represent Canada at the World University Games.
Tatham was second on the team last year with 9.1 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game.
