New Britain, Conn. - UMass placed four runners among the top-15 finishers on Saturday as the women's cross country team finished third among seven teams at the Central Connecticut State Mini-Meet. The race was the final tune-up for the Minutewomen before they compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship meet next weekend in Philadelphia.

DeRosa led UMass for the 12th consecutive race of her career as she completed the 3K course in 11 minutes, 23 seconds.

Sophomore Amanda Bodette (East Middlebury, Vt.), junior Cuisle Kierans (Newbury, Mass.), and junior Erin O'Donnel (Reading, Mass.) finished among the top-15 runners in the race. The trio was separated by just six seconds as Bodette crossed the finish line in 11 minutes, 44 seconds.

Junior Amber Sayer (Amherst, Mass.) finished 21st overall to round out the top-five harriers for UMass.

The Minutewomen will compete at the Atlantic 10 Championship Meet next Saturday. The meet will be hosted by La Salle at the Belmont Plateau and is scheduled to begin with the men's race at 10:00 a.m. and the women's race at 10:45 a.m.
